    Hello Robert,

I will up for this course after finishing your Udemy course(this week hopefully). The above link that you posted for the base board PCB design is not working. Can you post a new one so that I can see the complexity of the project?

    Tank you.

As I mentioned above, you can have a look at https://www.imx6rex.com/

These are our boards (including open source) and some are used in Advanced PCB Layout.

    Hi Robert,

I started to see the course videos and they are very interesting.
What I noticed so far is that the course is not strongly tied to the VOIPAC project.
My question is: could you recommend a similar complexity project which is well designed so it is worth to be used as a reference and is completely open so I can recreate it?

    Hello Robert,

I finally bought this course ("Advanced H/W Design") and I already did the first lecture.
Therefor I would like to ask you to open the second lecture for me now, since I have a lot of free time these days which maybe will not be the case later.

It is not possible to see full schematic nor PCB of the VOIPAC's module.

PS: In Advanced PCB Layout course you have full access to the schematic & pcb files of the module and also baseboard, but they are based on different CPU. Here you can download the files for projects for Advanced PCB Layout course: https://www.imx6rex.com/

Does this restricted access to the module's schematics and PCB files permit at least viewing of schematic and PCB?

This will help you: Altium - How to Create Libraries from Existing Project - Step by Step Tutorial https://youtu.be/zhuHE9b4C_8

Full project for the baseboard is here: http://www.voipac.com/downloads/imx/...iumProject.zip

Full module schematic and pcb files are not available, these are VOIPAC's property.

Yes,I know that it is not a step by step course. I already finished your "Learn to design your own boards" course from Udemy, so I have a sense about the time scale of more complex boards.
Also the video you referenced was very informative.
What I want to be able to do is to re-create both these complex boards, whatever time it will take for me.
I understand that I will use your videos as a reference only, but instead of only doing the practice exercises you give there I want to run the whole design myself.
What would I need to do that, except for your videos, is the libraries of all the components which are used on both boards (schematic symbols, PCB footprints, 3D models), so I won't need to spend time on components creation, and the access to all the schematics and PCB files of both boards so I have a design reference.

Advanced courses are not step-by-step, it would take a long time. Instead, they focus on important areas and you practice these important areas.

PS: I made a video about how long it actually takes to design this kind of boards, if you like, have a look: https://youtu.be/JHZTSK33e0g

So I understand that during the course I will be able to re-create both the "i.MX25 SODIMM Base Board" and the "i.MX53 SODIMM Module" from scratch (schematics, PCB placement, PCB layout, etc) following your videos?

    Hello konstantinos.papadopoulos

Advanced Hardware Design course is based on VOIPAC "i.MX25 SODIMM Base Board" (http://www.voipac.com/#Downloads) and their iMX53 module (https://www.voipac.com/#X53-DMM-557). Complete base board altium files can be downloaded from the VOIPAC website. The module project is partially available with the course for some activities and practicing (it is not available on Internet).

    Hello Robert,

Just wanted to ask which board is designed during the subject course?
Is it possible to see its schematics and PCB files in order to estimate its complexity?

    Thanks
