Hi Robert,
I am having an issue a part in lesson 4 where you are running the MFG tool with the openrex board connected I am unable to get the terminal to show the output you have. My guess was that either needed the jtag connection as well as the usb. I was wondering if you could load a view of the board at that part to show what and how things are connected.

You only need USB + power + FTDI cable to use the MFG tool and see output on console.

Can you describe what exactly is happening? When you switch on power of OpenRex, can you see correct USB driver initialized and can you run MFG Tool ok? Where exactly it is stacked?

PS: Try to measure TX pin by oscilloscope, just to be sure there is nothing wrong with FTDI cable or console settings (or boot the board by standard way).
