I think, but cannot confirm that you will loose acces to vaults and design content.. but you can still use that version of altium or lower

I was thinking if I run my Altium without signing up if that is the same as running it without subscription - but that is probably not the same.

I am not sure how to test it - but I am also interested to know what will be lost (e.g. access to Altium vaults?)

we started with 5 licenses and went to 3 after a few years, the old ones still work but only to the last version of that subciption.. so we now have 3 lics for 19 and upwards, and 2 for 15.1
you just lose the upgrades and support.

I have Altium now, but the subscription fee is a lot and I'm not sure I'm making enough from it to justify the cost

Anyone know exactly what you lose if you don't subscribe besides not being on the "beta" (read: for those of us that don't think they have enough bugs in the normal releases) ?
