  • Paneling in Altium Designer

    Hello Everyone,

    I want to try Paneling in Altium Designer. Many PCB Manufacturers/Fabricators offer a paneling option from their side.
    I just want to see if it can be done on the designers side.

    Altium has a feature called "Embedded Board Array". I used this feature and instantly saw the boards being multiplied in numbers and appearing on the screen like that in a panel.

    My query now is how do i define a V-groove or a cut to separate the PCB's? The Reference (link below) mentions the "Create Tool Paths from Cutouts" but i am unable to understand it.

    I am just a beginner and i am exploring Altium Designer.
    The version that i use is Altium Designer 17.

    If possible please provide some thumb rules or general practices for paneling and similar practices.

    When we need to create a panel, we simply add the info into manufacturing layer (I do not use Embedded Board Array). Here is an example, point 7 (user right click on the image, open in new tab and then you can zoom in):
