In PCB, select the component, go to properties panel and unlock primitives. Then you will be able to move it. Once you are done, do not forget to lock the primitives again.

  • Moving overlay items that are defined in PCB footprint

Any footprint I create always includes an overlay dot to indicate pin 1. Sometimes, depending on the placement of other nearby components, the location of the dot is not always clear. After placing the component on the PCB, I want to be able to manually move the dot without modifying the library. The attached image shows an example footprint. I added various types of overlay items (full circle, fill, solid region, line, text). The text items are the only items that can be moved once placing on the PCB. I cannot even select the other items. I made sure I don't have any selection filter. Is there a way to move the other objects? Particularly the full circle. The only work around I can think of is to make the "dot" a text item with the letter "o" and then use a large stroke size to fill it in. Is there a better way?
