  • Connect Net with different name

    Dear Forum
I would like to design schematic with 2 different NetLabel name, that must be connected each other, without lost name in PCB . Tipica use is to separate Digit-Ground from Analog- Ground and then, connect them in 1 point . Normally, this cost the suppression of 1 name in the PCB (Altium rename them or in Analog-Gnd or Digital-Gnd),so in the PCB Im not
    able to recognize both.

    Thanks very much

You could use a component to connect the two nets together, such as a low resistance resistor, or inductor, or ferrite bead. You could also use a circuit design object called a net tie. It's essentially a library component that the user creates with 2 or more pads, or pins, with additional copper added to the component that shorts the pins together. You have to select net tie as the component type.

Fedevel Academy may have more info about this. It's also covered on Altium's website.

I agree with WhoKnewKnows. This may help: https://designhelp.fedevel.com/forum...m/5746-net-tie

PS: Also, you can search on this forum for "net tie", there are more posts
