  • how to remove or correct ugly looking copper pour regions

I would like to Remove or correct some of the left over looking polygons on the board. I attached a picture of a Ballgrid region as an example. Is there any tool or method in Altium to remove or make them look better?

If I wanted to remove the copper under BGA, I would probably draw a polygon pour cutout (PCB: Place -> Polygon Pour Cutout and then refresh the polygon).

Thank you Robert I used the cut out feature to remove the polygon pour under the BGA and It looks better now. How about the left over copper pour between some traces. How can I remove them? Please find the picture.

You can do something, but they will always look like that. Here is what you can try.

Double click on the polygon and:
        - check "Remove Dead Cooper"
        - play with the value: "Remove Necks When Copper Width Less Than"
        - play with the value "Remove Islands Less Than"
        or
        - manually draw it
