Pad connection in library!

In a library and footprint design of a component I need to connect two PADs, I did so but in the PCB and DRC I am receiving a short-circuit error! How we can avoid this error?

Usually I name both pads the same

goncaloc , did you check DRC? you most probably will see short circuit error.

IIUC, what you're trying to do is done with another type of component called a net tie. I recommend using a net tie component to connect the two nets together, then use the component where you were trying to join them as you would normally.
