Hi Folks,
When I create a component in the Altium schematic component library, I usually leave the comment field blank and set its visibility off. After completing all of the details of the component, I save the library and then place the component from the components panel onto my design schematic. When I do, I see that the comment field has been filled with the text from the design item ID and the visibility has been turned on, so I have to set the visibility off again. Why won't the comment field remain empty? Why won't the visibility setting remain off? Is there some overriding setting that automatically transfers the text from one field into another and automatically forces the visibility to change?
