I have seen the same. I guess it's something with incompatibility between different ad versions. -
I think this is a bug in Altium.
If my memory serves me well, the old Altium only supported square blankets. Now you can make different shapes.Leave a comment:

Hi Robert,
I see cross dashed lines for blanket instead of rectangle, when I open any OpenRex projects in AD20. How did you made it?
It is very interesting, that when I resize any blanket, then it changes to rectangle format and I can not get back to original showing. I am using AD20.2.

Is this AD bug or hidden feature?
PS: When I open your projects in AD21/22, then I got rectangles (as "after" above)
