I believe this feature was added in Altium 14. I do not think it is very important though. Normally you will either agree on the layer stack with the manufacturer during the design, or chose the layer stack when placing the order (if it is a cheap manufacturer and you do not have email communication before placing the order).
Yes, I agree with you. I had to make it manually through Excel sheets then copy and paste in Altium. It is required in a Lab course I am taking though...
MSleiman I am not sure if it's possible to add it in AD10, but in older versions you could use "Place Stackup Legend". Go to your PCB -> Right Click -> Options -> Layer Stack Manager -> Place Stackup Legend. Press TAB to chage the Columns you would like to see.
