Line/Trace shape

Hi Guys,

Routing two points, copper shape on both end is semi-circular, I was wondering is it possible to change it to rectangle or any other shape?
for example attached is a situation that wide line is needed while component is small line edge roundness cause some problems, any idea?

I normally use track width which will not cause this kind of problem.Possibly, you can start with a thinner track and make it wider later. I am not sure if you can change / set shape of the track end.

This is a common annoyance... I try to just use fills/regions instead of tracks in those cases.

Thanks, probably I have to use same fills/region idea,
It looks strange, considering todays software capability, it should be possible to add such capability and change line end shape.
For this same issue, what is situation in other tools, like allegro or PADS?

Is anyone here actively using PADs / Allegro? I do not really remember how it was there, I have never wanted to set it.
