    Pin 4 is called EN in the schematic. In the PCB layout both pin 4 and 5 show GND as I presume that's the net name. I want the net name still but instead of (or as well as) the pin number

    So instead of 4:GND it would show EN:GND or 4 (EN):GND

    That way I can clearly see the difference between pin 5 which is ground and pin for which is EN tied to ground while routing and positioning

    I am not really sure what do you mean. When you zoom in, you can see "5:GND". If there is pin number only, that means the pin is not connected to any net.

    I think I would find it much more useful if the pins when routing showed the names and not designators (i.e. EN instead of 4 for pin 4). That way I know the name of the pin I am routing and not just a pin number, so I could easily differentiate between different pins and it would help when placing caps next to pins too.
