  • Do I really need to create sheet symbols for every sheet?

    Hello folks,

I'm working on a design which currently is containing only 5, but big sheets.
I created a sheet symbol of one sheet because it should be used two times in this design.
Altium is giving me now the error, that I got multiple top level sheets.
I don't want to create one top level sheet with the sheet symbols of every sheet.

Is there a possibility to obtain a flat design but to use a sheet symbol of one sheet in this design?

Thank you very much in advance!

    Kind regards
    electricar

I think, when you use sheets Altium will create hierarchical design. You can force Altium to take your project as a Flat project, but I am not sure if that will help you. Go to your schematic: Project -> Project Options -> Options -> Net Identifier Scope
