Net antenna violation

MohB , 04-12-2017, 03:43 AM
Hi,
I am working on the processor module board used in the advanced PCB layout course and finished the processor fanout for decoupling caps with no issues. Today I started the DDR3 fanout and I am facing a strange issue with Altium. Attached are images describing the Antenna violation error I am facing.

When I fanout with a short or long track, the violation happens, but if I made even a very small 45-degree turn in the track, the violation disappears. I did not face this issue at the processor.

Thanks.

I think that's just a glitch with Altium - it should always be giving the antenna violation in those cases. I am suggesting to disable the online DRC from the PCB preferences and not to worry about those during the routing. When you connect the nets the violations will disappear.
