Text from Schemaic to PCB

Hi Guys,

There are many situation in which we need to transfer a string defined in schematic to PCB, for example "RESET" which appear for a CPU reset button. With comment reserved for part and BOM related data, which method do you recommend for this task? I saw some designer adding directive text to schematic and asking PCB designer to add text to silk screen layer, and so. However, syncing schematic and PCB will still remain as main question. Any comment?

I can't really think of an elegant way to do it. You can try to create a project parameter, and use it as a special string in the schematics and PCB. That way at least the two special strings reference the same text. It is not a great method though.
