PAD shape

Hi Guys,

I saw libraries in which PAD shape is rounded rectangle rather than simple rectangle! I was wondering what if difference or benefits on using rounded rectangle? Is it affect manufacturing?

I think, I saw some discussion about this in relationship to latest IPC standards. But I may be wrong.

In the latest IPC they changed the shape to rounded rectangle. They say it helps to get a little bit better solder joint. Judging by my experience that should not create a big difference.
