  • make a module

    Hi guys
How can I create a module in Altium library?
I mean, what is the connection of the componets in the module?
    Thank you
    Alfred

Alfred, I am really not sure what do you mean by "module in Altium library". Could you provide more details what you are trying to achieve, possible some screenshots of examples?

      Hello robert
The attached document LED Strip, whose dimensions is 25 mm by 10 mm, I would like to put it in a 500 mm by 10 mm board. I would like to make this whole board as a module in the Elliott library, and then make a dimension of 500 mm in 10 mm.
am i going the right way?
I hope that I could what i meant.
      thanks
      Alfred

I am not really sure what you are trying to do. Are you trying to make a panel (500 x 10 with number of same PCBs) or you are trying to make this small PCB part of a bigger PCB with different circuits?

        - To make a big panel of same PCBs, go into your PCB and have a look at Place->Embedded Board Array
        - If you need to include this your board in different PCB, then you may need to include it into the project (or maybe AD18 can do it somehow, i think it had a new feature to support multiboard designs)

          Regards

Then, you may want to use the panelization feature. To make a big panel of same PCBs, go into your PCB and have a look at Place->Embedded Board Array.
