Replacing Micro USB with USB Type C

Hello Robert,
Do you think it is possible to replace a Micro USB with a USB type C on your current 28 pin design? According to the USB specification, both are backward compatible, but I am uncertain if I need to consider other issues?

I have not done it (not really studied much about USB C), but I believe it should be possible. USB C has both, USB 3 and also USB 2. It should be possible to wire it up: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB-C
