Manufacturer part number not in stock

I'm doing the 28pins project's course, and sometimes when I'm going to draw a new schematic symbol, when I search for the manufacturer part number in Altium, the product is not in stock in Digikey. So... Do I have to import the product in the library even if it's not in stock? Or should I search that component with other suppliers to check if there is stock with them?

You can do both. Often the stock is changing. PS: When I am designing a board I may import components that are not in the stock in Digikey.I just buy them from a different supplier then.
