  • why we replace power track with polygon in lesson 8?

    Hello Robert
I have two questions in lesson 8, I want to know the reason of 1- when we want to improve the PCB, why we replace power track with polygon? 2-why we must make space as big as possible between tracks?
    thank you very much

    Nareg,

    1) For powers I prefer polygons as currents may find the optimal path to flow. By using tracks I would be forcing the currents to follow certain path.
    2) The biggest reason is crosstalk. This may help you: TIP #001: You can have crosstalk even on a board running at a low frequency
