HDMI Termination Resistors

milos.stankovic , 08-15-2019, 03:31 PM
Hi!

I noticed on Module and Baseboard schematic that there are no termination resistors on HDMI receiver. Is that the case because termination resistors are embedded in HDMI receiver?
Would you agree with Fig 18 in TI HDMI Design Guide: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tmds141.pdf?
Is the same valid for PCI and SATA interfaces? ENET PHY has termination resistors inside. What about magnetics? On Baseboard there are 75R resistors between center taps of transformers and chassis ground. I found an interesting datasheet from Wuerth Elektronik: https://katalog.we-online.de/pbs/dow...%28rev1%29.pdf. There are few combinations.

Best regards,

Miloš

Is this what you are looking for?
"Clock and Data Termination Control
The ADV7610 provides controls for the TMDS clock and data termination on the HDMI port. "

I am not sure about the other questions ... there is no termination for PCIE or SATA. Ethernet PHY connection depends on specific chips you use and implementation (there are differences between chips and transformers, you need to follow recommended connections for specific case)

Thanks! We don't need that on our Baseboard for iMX6 Module, do we?

Do you mean iMX6Rex Development Baseboard? ADV is used on TinyRex Baseboard Lite.
