Connecting LED directly to OpenRex GPIO

Hi,

Is it safe to connect LED directly to GPIO pin of OpenRex via a serial current limiting resistor ?
Can the GPIOs drive the LED ? There is not much information about the gpio drive capability in the i.mx6 referene manual .

I remember this - we were thinking about it too. Then we decided to test it and we do connect LEDs directly to the CPU pins through series resistor. Have a look at the page 25: http://www.imx6rex.com/wp-content/up...Production.pdf
