  • Question about imx6 Rex development baseboard

I have 2 questions concerning PCIe support for the imx6 Rex development base board.

    - Why is PCIe marked as Debugging (optional) ? Do I have to specifically need to ask for a base board with PCIe support or do all the base board support PCIe ?

    - Looking at the dts (imx6dl-rex-basic.dts, imx6qdl-rex.dtsi) in the mainline and NXP linux kernels (4.1.x+), I don't see any line for PCIe configuration. Does that mean I'll have to write PCIe dts configuration myself ?

    Thanks

    Regards,

    Quentin

    - If you mean the slot, you will need to swap 0R resistors (by default the PCIE is connected to PCIE mini card slot). That is why it is called Optional.

    - You can find a lot of information about software support on VOIPAC wiki website (not all updates are included in mainline kernel): http://wiki.voipac.com/xwiki/bin/view/imx6+rex/

This is from older kernel, but may be also useful:
