Mechanical Layers

please i need to know if there is a standard for Mechanical layers name for example M29 as mentioned on the lectures use for 3D models whereas others use M15 and so on there are no one fixed rules for name of Mechanical layers

I have created my own set of mechanical layers years ago and been adding on everytime somthing is new.. but it some times is ifficult when you import parts from the web.. they always are different. but i just take out what i dont need and transfer the other items were needed.. its a bit more work but it keeps me sane and all other documents referring to my mechanical layers are a lot harder to change..
