polarized and not polarrized Capacitors

Polarized capacitors are usually for bigger capacities and are cheaper. However for polarized capacitors you need to be careful how to connect power (you need to follow the + and - signs on the capacitors).
For power supplies I often use non polarized, but these are more expensive and they only go up to certain capacities. For power supplies and decoupling, you would like to use capacitors with low ESR (when you are selecting capacitors for your designs, check ESR and voltage of capacitors used in reference board and find capacitors with similar ESR and same or higher voltage for your board). As I mentioned in your other post, this video may help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8di...ature=youtu.beLeave a comment:

hi, what's the difference between ploarized capacitor and non polarized capacitor?
and for decoupling (3.3v DC voltage) which is the best capacitor?Tags: None
