Errors like this:
1) Save documents (optionally save as, but you should have auto-save enabled too)
2) Try again
3) If it still fails, close Altium? and start it again
4) Try action again
5) Newly added rule? Edit or remove rule.
6) If it persists, file a bug (crunch) or contact supplier of EDA software.

I lost count how often I received errors like this in Altium. I never got to step 5.
