Component layer Pair Issue

I am using Altium 18.0.9 version and I am a beginner also. I faced one problem with adding the component pair layer. When I am trying to add component layer pair in the mechanical layer which is already used during footprint creation was not in the dialog box. And also none of the used mechanical layers are visible. When I am creating a footprint using M29 for silk drawing and this is not available in the component layer pair top layer option. Please help me to solve the same.

Try to update. There are bugs in AD18 ... especially in Layers.

You can go for the latest one. However, especially do not use AD18 ... that was a very bad version and in the middle of transition between the old AD and the new AD.
