  • SMD Pad sizes for production issues

Hi Everyone, just a question on a problem I am having. Wanted to see what my options are. I design some led lights so we have pretty high densities of leds.
The issue I am having is that when they are produced the leds are crooked and not in place or even close. Board house says the pads are too large. Well I am using the
recommended pad size and it isnt working. What do you do when you need to adjust the size so the shifting goes away. How small of pads can you use?
I attached a datasheet for the part I am using. Thank you for any and all suggestions!

I would adjust the footprint. It really looks like the recommended footprint may be too big. This video can help you to get an idea how to adjust the footprint: https://youtu.be/cMxXea16Hxc
