Watch this, it explains how to annotate your schematic. It may help you: http://www.fedevel.com/welldoneblog/...minutes-video/

Finally...issue resolved with conclusion ...That component was created with Default Designator U? because of which same component was getting placed multiple times. Now I turned that Default Designator as * and now only single component is getting placed with different parts. This is the solution what I came across but correct me if I am wrong....

Do you mean, you have a Component e.g. U1, with parts A,B,C, .... and you don't know how to place U1A, U1B, U1C, ..? You can just double click on the symbol and browse through the parts through Part buttons. (You may want to uncheck Locked first)

Yes, I think this is the problem, I am placing single component with different parts but I don't know how same component is getting placed multiple times..Frown

This is not the window I meant but, that's fine. Didn't you accidentally pasted the component into schematic multiple times on the same place? Also, U? is not a valid designator. Try to check your schematic and Annotate it (component designator should look like U1, U2, U3, ....).

Well, the story is , I have cut pasted the component parts while moving from one shit to another and that's why that part got new ID and new Component is created which is not clearly visible in schematic. The solution must be in component link window but ...not getting how to?

Did you try to go to your PCB: Project - Component Links - Perform Update?

Deleted from pcb and while updating pcb in schematic, window pop ups with msg "failed to match components using Unique Identifier. Match remaining components using their designator." and those components are reappearing in pcb..

Please, could you delete them from your PCB, then go to Schematic: Design -> Update PCB and attach the screenshot from the ECO?

  • PCB file showing extra components which are not present in schematic file.

Hi, I am new in this Altium World. I have a problem that my PCB file is showing some extra repeated components which are not present in schematic. If I delete them in pcb , those are reappearing after pcb update. Please help me with these.
Working...
