For quick symbol/footprint free download I use Altium's "Manufacturer Part Search". Sometimes I use SnapEDA.
PS: As qdrives correctly pointed out, these are "acceptable". It means, they may be fine for hobby projects, but for professional design it may be just a starting point and you often need to modify them to meet your own library standards (e.g. correct layers, change 3D models, etc).

You are mixing two (almost) mutually exclusive terms: "ready-made" and "reliable".
I think that today about >95% of footprints is "acceptable".
However, there is also the part on style preference - ie. rectangles or rounded rectangles?
