I have a small board maybe 1.6 SQ with multiple ground polys ... doesn't make since to use the default via size.
Begs the question how to pick an optimal stitching Via size?
I don't think the stitching via size matters that much. You can use the same size as with the normal signal vias on the board just for consistency. If you don't have much space you can use smaller vias as well - as long as you don't have problems with the manufacturing.
Thanks for that , guessing in low current designs it has even less importance .
In the end I kept decreasing the size till I got to some number of stiches that looked reasonable on the smaller sections of the pour.
In my case a 10 mil drill with a 30 mil ring looked reasonable,
