Thanks. I was able to run the board from 4 AA Alkaline batteries through the Linear Tech LTC3119 Buck-Boost Regulator, regulated to 5V with no issues. I have no idea on run time though.

I tried to run OpenRex SOLO from battery, no problem. I used one of the travel USB chargers, like this Anker Astro E1 5200mAh Candy bar-Sized Ultra Compact Portable Charger (you may want to play with different capacity): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P7N0320..._TE_item_image

    OpenRex Running from a Battery

    Hello,

Has anyone tried to run the OpenRex off of a battery. I'm thinking of trying to run it off 4 AA batteries. Run time is not critical, I just want to be sure it will boot and run for a few hours. I will most likely regulate the battery voltage to 5V with a buck-boost.

    Thanks

    Craig
