  • ddr3 bitswap and write leveling

    Hi All.
Write leveling is a feature for ddr3 ram to remove skew in fly-by mode :
Is it possible to swap ddr3 x16 data bus when using tree topology for imx6 controller?

    Thanks a lot.

Yes, you can do bit / byte swapping. Just follow the swapping rules.

For write leveling it doesn't really matter if you are using fly-by or Tree-topology. Have a look at some designs (e.g. google for iMX6 Design guide), you can use both, fly-by and tree topology and you can do the pin swapping in both cases.
