  • Use a slim stack mezzanine connector for Ethernet tasks

Hi folks. Did anyone use a mezzanine slim stack connector for Gigabit ethernet tasks?
I want to connect the board to board with flex PCB following way

I don't see any problem with that, but be aware of ground loops, make sure you put extra gnd lines with it, also try and keep impedance matched over the flex board..

Once I have designed FLEX for PCIE - no problems. As mairomaster mentioned, be careful about GND (you may want to use a solid / hashed GND plane on one layer) + follow also impedance (double check with your PCB manufacturer).
