  • Additional lines after PCB production.

    Hello,
I sent my PCB file to two different companies and they produced my PCB boards. But after getting them back, I see some additional lines which are not covered by the solder mask. I checked my PCB file and I didn't see anything on other masks. what is my mistake?

    1) How does the board look in 3D?
    2) On the bottom right of the last picture it has the "Solder mask expansion". It is manual, but what is the width?
    3) have you drawn on the soldermask layer?

      Very interesting.

I would also recommend to check the gerber files directly e.g. you can check gerber files in Altium or for example in ViewMate (I use the free version: https://www.pentalogix.com/t/software-products/viewmate )

I would also recommend Check in gerber solder mask layer first which you have sent to PCB manufacturer if it is ok then revert back to PCB manufacturer to know how it's happened.
