  • via copper thickness

hello every body . when the thickness of our board is 1 oz the thickness of copper in the via barrel is 1 oz too or it is less? why?

    It is less.
With the outer layer copper there is first the base copper (often 1/2 oz for 1oz board, or 18um for a 35um board in metric). That is made thicker through the plating needed to get copper inside the via barrels.
Perhaps this video explains it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukfsupePkOM

Anyhow, for a class 2 board it should be a minimum of 20um. For class 3 it should be a minimum of 25um.
