Flashing program onto AVR microcontroller without a programmer

Hello all,

I am new to microcontroller programming and i have atmega328p chip and flashed it with optiboot bootloader (used for taking application program via uart port) using ATMEL studio 7. Now i would like to write application program in atmel studio and flash the program without the use of an programmer like AVRMKII. Kindly suggest a way to do this . All IDE asks to select the programmer before flashing . So i am looking for a way to flash the program on to the chip without using programmer.

I am not expert into Atmel, but you do need a way to transfer and flash your code from PC into the Atmel. How you are planning to do it (if not using a programmer or optiboot)?
