Delay logic

Hello everyone,

I have designed a power circuit in which i have used a circuit using IC555 that toggles the power states for on- off operation now i want to build a logic that gives some delay before the circuit cuts-off the supply, i have tried R-C logic by connecting it to discharge pin but it cancels the on-off logic,,, so can anyone help me with this??

Simple way what could help is to add a gate with two inputs - one input connected to the EN signal, the other to RC circuit.

PS: If it helps, you may want to consider to use a dedicated chip for this, just google for something like "push button controller chip".
