DDR3 Memory Minimum Quantity Purchasing Problem

Kulunu , 07-25-2018, 11:41 PM
Hi All,

I'm doing different kind of prototypes for different products before mass production. So some times I need some DDR3 memory modules as minimum quantity like 50 units. But most of the memory modules like follow we can't purchase small quantities.

Intelligent Memory - IM4G16D3EABG-125
Nanya - NT5CB256M16EP-DI
Samsung – K4B4G1646E-BYMA

So as experienced hardware design engineers what kind of solution will you suggest ? Could you please suggest me any distributor which can buy small quantities ?
Can you suggest any authorized distributor which I can buy small quantities ?

Regards

If you mean memory chips, yes, you can buy small quantities of them (I agree with @mohsin_qau suggestions). Very often we go for Micron - some memory chip manufacturers really may have higher minimum order quantities, so I recommend to be careful when selecting chip manufacturer and check their minimum order quantity during design process.
