Starting harware career

Hello Robert,

I am a recent electrical engineering graduate and I've started working in a R&D company, working in hardware development department doing PCB designs.
I am really curious and interested in this field and I want to become a great engineer one day, but I'm aware it's a long way to go.

I was wondering if you could give me some tips or share your experience how to get there.
Maybe some good literature to read, some projects to do, really anything that comes to your mind that might help me out.
