I found the source of the issue.

For me it was the "Google Sheets" browser extension.

To be completely honest, I don't remember installing anything like this. I don't know if it is pre-installed in Google Chrome by default, however I found out that this very extension is installed on the other device I tried to post with (with a different account logged in).
- Even after disabling this extension, I'm still able to create and edit spreadsheets.

I will ask our customer if he has the same extension and I will let you know if it works or if there is any other source of this issue.
