Gerber to PCB layout how to group components

I am currently doing a reverse engineering and what i have now are only the Gerber files.
I have export the Gerber files to PCB layout however, I have a problem as the components are not grouped together.

Any idea on how to group the components and make pcb library so it will auto generate the pcb components out.

that is tricky! i think the only thing you can do is creat a union maybe? or maybe select the different items that create the footprint.. cutting and pasting in a PCB lib.. then converting the individual shapes to pins.. it is going to take a long time..

if you ever find a better way let us know here..

I do not think that in standard gerbers is information about footprints, but I am not 100% sure.
