8L stackup example

Hi!

I am designing 8L board with TH vias only. My idea is that stackup should look like this:
L1-TOP
L2-GND
L3-ROUTE
L4-PWR
L5-PWR
L6-ROUTE
L7-GND
L8-BOT

Any other idea?

looks like a solid stackup! i have similar to this one..

it depends if you really need so many power planes.. tell us about you project?

reason for asking is that in some case you might be able to do it in a 6 layer stackup
if you need 4 routing layers to fan out your design.. you might not need all those gnd / power planes..
somehting like Top / Pwr / sig1 / sig2 / GND / bot, might be a good enough option and save you, money..

it all depends on you design.

Just would add, if possible, place L2-L3 closer than L3-L4 (same for L7-L6 vs L6-L5) - so you have solid GND plane closer to signal layers.
