Greetings!
I am new here. Hi Everyone!
I want to ask a question about net names and the "Net Identifier Scope" in the Project Options.
Suppose I have a top level design schematic, which contains two different schematic subpages/blocks.
Each subpage has a identically named net (for example, net named "example_net"), but the "Net identifier scope" in the project options is set to "hierarchical", and therefore those nets are not supposed to be global and therefore connected in the final netlist.
Still, Altium outputs a warning about identical net names and in the final netlist those nets appear to have the same name and seem to be connected.
How can one solve that problem? Does every net in Altium must have unique name? This can lead to serious problems, especially for people that are used to other schematic capture systems, like OrCAD.
Thanks in advance for any input.
