I just wanted to show the technique I use to reorder the differential pairs and also to change the polarity (first pair on top)....1 Photo

robertferanec Changing the order without changing the layer is quite easy, the true problem comes when you have something to cross....

robertferanec Robert, I know that I can change the layer but changing the layers for differential layers is not a good thing.
You maybe have ideas...

I have a good example there.
I have highlighted the differential pair.
It would be convenient to change the layers using vias to be able to...1 Photo

About tricky differential pair routing
Hi everyone,
What solution do you implement when the differential pairs you have to route cross each other ?
Thanks for your...

About decoupling capacitors on the other side
Hi everyone,
Usually decoupling capacitors are on the same board side than the component for which they are used.
Sometimes for space...2 Photos

I replaced both planes on layers 2 and 7 with Signals.
The issue with the vias is gone.
Thanks a lot !

I have 8 layers.
I noticed something interesting:
When I unchecked both Layers 2 & 7, the via is OK with its solder mask.
The purple...

I don't think so.
The solder mask is highlighted on the attached screenshot.
It is 0.102 mm.
What we are speaking about has a diameter...1 Photo

Here attached the 2D and 3D views.
The grid is 0.1 mm.
The diameter of this disk is about 1.4 mm.2 Photos

I think that components designators are important for the prototype phase.
You just received your board and something is wrong but you don't really...

About a strange behavior of a polygon pour
Hi everyone,
I have the attached polygon pour NetC1_1.
The purpose is to remove all the gaps on all pads involved on that polygon pour....1 Photo

About through Vias
I defined a preferred through via size/hole size as 0.45 mm/0.2 mm.
I've got a big disk around it.
It is far much bigger than the solder mask....1 Photo
